A Question of Omission?

Wikipedia erasing women's voices poses an interesting question.

When we look at the history of the "Women's Ways of Knowing" page on wikipedia , a few things standout:

* the page began it life as *Women's development theory*, in March 2008, and was recently renamed to *Women's Ways of Knowing*, in August 2014. * the page was originally written by **Mobeaner**, during March 2008. * Between March 2008 and when it was renamed in August 2014 there were only a few seemingly minor edits, mainly adding links.

# Some Page History

March 2014 as the page looked when Mobeaner finished editing.

The differences between the March 2008 version and the current version can be seen by looking at difference between revisions . While the majority of the changes appear to be correction of typo's and adding links, there are a few other changes that change meaning. Such as *cognitive* to *identity and intellectual* in the second paragraph.

# Some Observations

The original article, as at March 2008, has as we have observed a different name.

When Mobeaner stopped editing this page, in 2008, was it in its intended final state? The final three sections, particularly the last which is just a list, provide a feeling that this could have been a work in progress.

The page is, largely, the work of a single author so is coloured by both their view and intended purpose of authoring a page on "Women's Development Theory."

The original page name suggests that the page was intended to not just be about the book "Women's Ways of Knowing".
